25 Civilians Killed After Russian Missiles Hit A Train Station

A train station in the neighborhood of the urban area, Chaplyne, came under attack by Russian missiles that completely devastated the station on the 31st of Ukrainian Independence day.

The death toll reached 25 which included children and women. People are reported to have heard sirens seven times on the day Russian bombers bombed the train station.

The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, warned the public weeks before to be ready for a surprise attack that the Russians would launch on independence day.

For the past few days, Russia has constantly been bombing major Ukrainian cities and other surrounding parts of Kyiv, the Ukrainian capital.

The recent attack on a train station has been the deadliest since the inception of the Russian invasion.

Russian Denial

Russian sources have denied reports of civilian deaths from the very start of the war and have repeatedly denied any involvement in targeting civilians.

Russian Minister of Defense, Sergei Shoigu, on Wednesday, said that the slow pace of the campaign is deliberate as Russian forces are trying to reduce civilian casualties.

Antony Blinken, U.S Secretary of State accused Russians of killing civilians by posting on Twitter.
